Warranty
1. Warranty Coverage
This limited warranty is valid for 3 months or 3,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of sale. It covers certain major mechanical and electrical components listed in Section 2 below. Coverage applies only to failure due to a defect in workmanship or materials under normal use and proper maintenance.
*Business usage is 28 days or 3,000 miles whichever comes first, from date of sale.
2. Covered Components
A. Engine (Internally Lubricated Parts):
- Pistons
- Crankshaft & bearings
- Camshaft
- Timing chain/gears
- Connecting rods
- Oil pump
- Valve lifters
- Cylinder heads (if damaged by a covered failure)
B. Transmission (Automatic or Manual):
- Internal gears
- Bearings
- Input/output shafts
- Torque converter
- Transmission case (if damaged by internal part failure)
C. Electrical System:
- Alternator
- Starter motor
- Ignition coil
- Engine control module (ECM)
D. Cooling System:
- Radiator
- Thermostat
- Water pump
- Cooling fan motor
E. Suspension (Front and Rear):
- Control arms
- Ball joints
- Struts/shocks
- Tie rods
F. Braking System:
- Master cylinder
- Brake calipers
- Brake booster
- ABS module
G. Steering System:
- Power steering pump
- Steering gear/rack
- Steering column
3. Excluded Items (NOT Covered)
The following items are not covered under this warranty:
- Adblue systems and dpf exhaust filters
- Maintenance services (e.g., oil changes, anti freeze, washer bottle fluid)
- Wear-and-tear items (e.g., brake pads, brake discs, exhaust system, belts, hoses, wiper blades, tyres, clutch plate)
- Cosmetic damage (e.g., paint, body panels, interior trim)
- Glass and mirrors
- Seals and gaskets (unless part of a covered repair)
- Towing, rental, or diagnostic fees
- Aftermarket modifications or accessories
- Damage due to overheating, misuse, abuse, accident, or lack of maintenance
4. Customer Responsibilities
- Maintenance: Customer must perform and document routine maintenance as per manufacturer guidelines.
- Prompt Notification: Oakwood must be notified within 3 business days of any issue or warning light.
- Authorisation: Repairs must be authorised in writing by Oakwood. Unauthorised repairs will not be reimbursed. Oakwood reserve the right to request the vehicle to be returned for repairs or supply parts to a VAT registered independent repair specialist of their choice at an agreed labour rate.
- Inspection: Customer must allow the Oakwood or a designated repair facility to inspect the vehicle before any repairs begin.
5. Warranty Claim Procedure
To file a claim under this warranty:
1. Contact Oakwood immediately when a problem arises.
2. Provide a full breakdown of fault and allow inspection.
3. Wait for email authorisation before any repairs begin.
4. Oakwood may require failed/broken parts to be sent back to them.
6. Limitation of Liability
Oakwood's obligation under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of covered components. Total liability shall not exceed the vehicle's purchase price. The dealer is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, including towing, loss of use, return costs or rental costs.
7. Entire Agreement
This document represents the entire warranty agreement between Oakwood and the buyer. No other warranty, verbal or written, shall be binding unless signed by both parties.
